I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. We visited Cedar Point for the first time this weekend. I can't wait to share my post about it with you. Hopefully I will get it posted by the end of the week. I had so much fun, but today I am feeling the effects of the fun three day weekend. What did you do on the long weekend? I would love to see all of your party decorations if you had a cook out. I know you don't want to know anymore about my ramblings.

Snickerdoodle Sunday Memorial Day Edition.

Happy Memorial Day  Weekend!!! I hope everyone has an awesome weekend grilling out and swimming. I can not believe how many boats I saw being pulling today on the highways. I guess everyone is trying to get rid of the cabin fever we all had from the horrible winter. If you are traveling, please be safe. If you are having a party I would love to see your decorations. I am just amazed at how fast this month is going by, and how big this party is growing. Make sure you tell all your friends about the Snickerdoodle Sunday. It was hard this week picking my favorite, everyones links are so nice. So with hard task I chose.....

Today is another day of brags. We just found out that my daughter made it to the GOLD Team in gymnastics. We have two more levels before competition level. She has only been doing gymnastics for a year. To me this is a great accomplishment for her. You have got to celebrate the small victories before you can celebrate the big victory. How have you celebrated your kids small victories? Enough about me bragging, you are here to party.

Snickerdoodle Sunday #80

It's Snickerdoodle Sunday time.  I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I was very blessed to spend the day with my Grandma, Mom, and my family. This week I plan to post pictures of our get together. The decor was very simple. What did you do for your Mother's Day?

My favorite from last week is from the Gracious Wife for her DIY Washable Reusable Bowl Covers.

Today was a wonderful day. We just got back from my daughters violin recital and it was beautiful listening on how far the elementary students have progressed since the beginning of the school year.

(Picture is compliaments of the schools Facebook page)
If you look close enough you can see the back of my head and my phone display. I had to record my baby!!
Don't they look so cute? Enough about me bragging.

Snickerdoodle Sunday Mother's Day Edition

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers. I hope you get the much needed rest and praise you truly deserve. For Mother's Day I want my kids to make hand crafted crafts that have lots of glue and glitter on them for me. I want them to help me decorate cookies and brownies their way. My last wish is that my husband cleans up the mess from the crafts, brownie, and cookie decoration...lol. Sunday is all about making MOM feel special, so no matter what you do for your MOM make sure you go out of your way to make her feel special. Don't forget, handmade card goes a long way and it cost pennies. I am planning a small Mother's Day get together this year. In my mind I want to go full blown decorations, but I think I am going to scale it back to just a Happy Mother's Day banner, flowers in some vases, paper straws with flags, white linen table cloths and just a few more special touches on the buffet table and dessert table. Who knows instead of having perfectly decorated brownies and cookies on my dessert table, I might just set out the brownies and the cookies that my children design. I will smile as my guest look at them and think to themselves, she has finally lost her mind.
Last week on the blog did you see my review on the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville, KY? If you did not you can view it here. I really like this hotel. I think it is centrally located in Louisville. If you are ever in Louisville and looking for a place to stay that is close to Churchill Downs, the airport and Kentucky Kingdom you should consider staying there.

Today in honor of Mother's Day I have chosen My Sweet Mission for these cute Springtime Decorated Flowers Cookies. These would be a great addition to any Mother's Day table.

My review on the Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport and Expo Center Hotel

The other day I had the opportunity to hang out at the Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport and Expo Center Hotelin Louisville, KY.  My parents were there for a convention and since it was in my neck of the woods, the kids and I came over in the evenings to swim and hang out. This hotel is centrally located in the city of Louisville. You are just a short walk away from Kentucky Kingdom and a drive over the bridge to the airport. Downtown and the riverfront is just a short drive away. We were able to hang out in the afternoons in room 621.

The king size room was very clean. The decor had been updated to the newest features. It included luxurious bedding. According to my parents the bed was super comfy. The hotel even provided a pack of aromatherapy to rest, relax and recharge.

I was able to a snap picture of the aromatherapy packet that was in the room.

This was the only sitting chair in the room besides the desk chair. It was comfortable, but I wished there was another chair.

The room had a nice big work station. The hotel advertises that the chair is a ergonomic chair. I did not sit in the chair, so we will have to take their word on that one. I did use the free wifi. I had a few problems getting my Mac to connect but eventually I was able to connect and the connection was fast.

There was a vanity that was outside of the bathroom. It was nice to have two vanities in a hotel room. I really liked the double lighted maginafication mirror that is in the corner of the picture. You don't see that in many hotel rooms.

Below is what the room looked like as we walked out into the hallway.

Instead of just hanging out in a hotel room we were able to enjoy the big indoor pool.

We also ate at the Blue Horse Restaurant that was on property.

The food was really good. I ordered the BBQ Pork sandwich, fries and coleslaw. It was awesome. Take a glimpse of the basket that the fries were served in. Isn't it cute?

If you ever find yourself in Louisville, Kentucky and needing a place to stay, this is a very nice hotel.
