Snickerdoodle Sunday #45

It is Snickerdoodle time again! I don't know where last week went. We are starting back with out very hectic schedule of school, dance and gymnastics. I can only imagine our schedule when little man gets thrown into the mix with his sports. How do parents with multiple children do it. Please explain. Enough about my family. Before we get into the party, I wanted to let you all know that I am looking for guest bloggers who would like to participate in a series on Crock Pot Recipes, coming in the fall.  If you would like to be a guest blogger send me a message and I will send you the details. Now on to the party.  I hope you all had a good week and it was not very stressful. Let's all take a break,  sit back, relax and enjoy the party.

As always cookies and snacks are provided by your fab hostesses!

                  Salmon Kabobs

Summer is almost over. Have you used your grill this summer? Hopefully you have. If not I have got a fast and easy meal for you to cook tonight. And yes, it is for your grill. As you are strolling thru the meat aisle at your local grocery store have you ever noticed those over priced kabobs in the butcher display case? I notice them all the time and I notice the price. Save your money, with just a few simple steps you can create a kabob that looks that good.
                  What you will need:
                  Salmon
                  Onion
                  Green pepper
                  Red Pepper
                  Kabob sticks

You can add anything your mouth is watering for on a kabob stick.

First cut you salmon in square pieces. Make sure you cut the skin from your salmon if it has skin on it.
Cut your onion and peppers into pieces the size of your salmon.
Once all ingredients are prepped, place the ingredients on the kabob stick. There is no correct order. I do like to go veggie, meat, onion, veggie, meat, etc.

Place the kabobs on medium heat on the grill. Rotate the kabobs until done.

That is it. This meal is easy to prep and easy to cook and they are so delicious. Your family will love it. Let me know what you added to your salmon kabobs.  If you are looking for other great recipes check these out.

                          Hello Everyone!

School for our little ones is fast approaching if not already in session. Are you ready to get back into the hustle and bustle of everything? I finally got my daughter all ready for her first day of first grade. I am usually not a procrastinator but somehow this summer got away with me. We took our last vacation this past week and I feel rested and ready for all the changes that next week is going to throw at us. Enough about next week.

Very simple rules for this party:

                                  1. Add up to 2 pin links to your pinned posts - the older the better!
                                  2. Repin at least 2 other pins because that's why we are here!
                                  3. Link back to us if you would, it's the nice thing to do!
                                  4. Come back next week and repeat!
                                  5. Spread the word, the more the merrier!

                                  Back to School teacher Gifts

Oh my, school is starting here soon! Where did summer go? Better yet, where has this year gone? I will tell you, since our newest edition has came, time seems to fly by. It just dawned on me the other day that school was fast approaching for my daughter. Do you have your children ready to go yet? Our school supply list just now got posted for our school system and we went out the other day and picked up everything on the list. I was shocked, there was less items on the list than last year. I would have to thank our school board for that. Our school board had to approve the list which means there were lots of items left off the list.
With school fast approaching I have been noticing pins on Pinterest of giving your child's teacher a gift at the beginning of the year. I have heard of giving the teacher at the end of the year, Christmas and on teacher appreciation day, but never at the beginning. When do you give your child's teacher gifts?
If you do give them a back to school gift, what type of gift do you give your child's teacher?
I scrolled thru Pinterest looking for nice gifts that would not break the bank and would be easy to make and I wanted to share with you 6 gifts that I thought would really bring a smile to your child's teachers face.

                                  A jar full of cookies

A jar of fresh cut flowers.

A small basket full of candy.

                                  A bag of Flips pretzels.

                                  A smell good candle

                                  Donut Holes

So out of the six pictures I can not decide on what to do for my daughters teacher. I really like this idea of giving a gift at the beginning of the year. These gifts do not have to be expensive just something small. Are you ready for back to school? What type of teacher gifts do you have in mind?
